PageRank is Dead

By Mike Liebner • on April 2, 2016

Or is it?

Google has admitted that they are removing PageRank, the rating scale they use for URLS, so that the score is not visible to webgoers.

But surely they will be keeping it on in the background so they can use it as one of their scoring ranking factors.

Right now it is still visible in my Chrome extension called Website Analysis Application, so maybe we’ll still have a way to see it.

In any event I wouldn’t think too much about this unless you are targeting some serious big money keywords where PageRank is the only factor that brings your page up in the rankings.

For us regular folks who are targeting easy to mid range keyword phrases we can still rest at night knowing that a small amount of good quality keyword text links will do the trick and bring our pages up in the rankings.
